To Climb to the Heights

“Walk as children of the light”
(Ephesians 5:8)

Parents, leaders, and educators, we have a mission, a duty to lead children's souls toward the Light which will be their guide and their happiness. In order to illuminate the way that lies before each one of us, once a week we invite you to discover some of the words of certain wisemen and witnesses, measuring their worth by the words of St. Thomas Aquinas: “Do not consider the one who speaks, but whatever good you hear from him, confide it to your memory.” (from The Sixteen Ways to Acquire the Treasure of Knowledge by St. Thomas). Happy reading!

“No one on this earth has any other way out than climbing to the heights.”

Solzhenitsyn (1918-2008)
Russian author

“Tear these sleepyheads and scaredy-cats from their spinelessness; lift up those souls who have no desire and no joy. This depends on you! Be animators, be leaders. The first condition is to banish all human respect. You can see well enough that I am not afraid of being ridiculed and I speak shamelessly about a certain greatness that no one dares pronounce in today’s day and age. Bravely face the ridicule, face the skepticism. Forge on ahead without turning back. If you can manage to advance without worrying about whether anyone is following in your steps, then at that moment others will follow you.”
