On All Saints’ Day in 2013, after a first year near the castle of the Bastiolle, Our Lady of the Assumption Elementary School moved to its new Montalblanais quarters of “Villebourbon,” right in the heart of the city, in a beautiful and vast ancient structure complete with garden.

The new site is a vestige of the Counter-Reformation, the golden age of the city, as its chapel confirms.  It was here, in 1842, that St. Emily de Rodat installed the teaching community of the Sisters of the Holy Family, who occupied the building until 2013.

This ancient convent-school now continues its Catholic mission thanks to the presence of the  Dominican Teaching Sisters and their students.
