O Queen of the Holy Rosary

“Walk as children of the light”
(Ephesians 5:8)

Parents, leaders, and educators, we have a mission, a duty to lead children's souls toward the Light which will be their guide and their happiness. In order to illuminate the way that lies before each one of us, once a week we invite you to discover some of the words of certain wisemen and witnesses, measuring their worth by the words of St. Thomas Aquinas: “Do not consider the one who speaks, but whatever good you hear from him, confide it to your memory.” (from The Sixteen Ways to Acquire the Treasure of Knowledge by St. Thomas). Happy reading!

“I understood that youth is a blessing, that it is to run a risk—but the risk itself is a blessing.” in Journal d’un curé de campagne

Georges BERNANOS (1888-1948)

“Immaculate Virgin Mary,
may the recitation of your rosary be every day for me,
amidst my multiple duties,
a means of unity in my actions, a tribute of filial piety,
a quiet rest and an aid to walk joyfully along the path of duty.

Most especially, O Virgin Mary,
may the meditation of your fifteen mysteries form in my soul, little by little,
a luminous, pure, strong, and fragrant atmosphere,
which penetrates my intelligence, my will, my heart, my memory, my imagination,
my whole being.
Thus will I acquire the habit of praying while working
without the help of formulas
by a look of admiration and supplication or by aspirations of love.
I beg this of you, O Queen of the Holy Rosary,
through St. Dominic, your son of predilection,
the outstanding preacher of your mysteries and the faithful imitator of your virtues.
Amen.”
