Revitalize the mind

“Walk as children of the light”
(Ephesians 5:8)

Parents, leaders, and educators, we have a mission, a duty to lead children's souls toward the Light which will be their guide and their happiness. In order to illuminate the way that lies before each one of us, once a week we invite you to discover some of the words of certain wisemen and witnesses, measuring their worth by the words of St. Thomas Aquinas: “Do not consider the one who speaks, but whatever good you hear from him, confide it to your memory.” (from The Sixteen Ways to Acquire the Treasure of Knowledge by St. Thomas). Happy reading!

“My dear Sirs, we live at a time when being noble is what we must work on. You have errors to conquer and the world to govern, and that, by the ascendancy of intelligence and self-sacrifice.”

“When we are capable of reading Homer, Plutarch, Cicero, Plato, David, Saint Paul, Saint Augustine, Saint Thérèse, Bossuet, Pascal, and so many others, we become positively guilty for the time we lose in the stupidities of a salon. The misery of the world is caused by our wanting to make the whole of life a distraction, while in reality recreation should only be a small moment given over to rest in order to refresh and revitalize the mind.
