Daughter of God, Go, Go!

“Walk as children of the light”
(Ephesians 5:8)

Parents, leaders, and educators, we have a mission, a duty to lead children's souls toward the Light which will be their guide and their happiness. In order to illuminate the way that lies before each one of us, once a week we invite you to discover some of the words of certain wisemen and witnesses, measuring their worth by the words of St. Thomas Aquinas: “Do not consider the one who speaks, but whatever good you hear from him, confide it to your memory.” (from The Sixteen Ways to Acquire the Treasure of Knowledge by St. Thomas). Happy reading!

“The Church has received from the good God the mission to maintain this spirit of childhood, this simplicity, and this youthfulness in the world.”

“Behold Joan of Arc on her chestnut horse, beginning to march against the usurpers. She is carrying a beautiful banner, on which men will forevermore read the names of Jesus and Mary! Of course, it was hard for her to leave… My little eighteen-year old sister, when the moment came to say farewell to your beloved parents… I see those trembling young lips and eyes glistening like stars! For yonder, there is France, turned upside down, with the poor weak king, wherever he may be, doing what little he can…. Can this situation be borne much longer? When she is ready to turn back, there is a great urge in her heart and a voice which sings: “Daughter of God! Oh, Daughter of God, how sweet it is! Daughter of God, go, go!
